Michael Thomas States

Michael Thomas States, 65, former Communications Director for St. Joseph Hospital and the Masonic Home, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Memorial service, 11 a.m., Friday, July 19, St. Paul United Methodist Church. Michael was an Eagle Scout, master gardener, a mason with Bester G. Brown Masonic Lodge No. 433, a shriner, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Dorothy (Swick) States. Survivors: wife, Pam; daughters, Jessica States, Jennifer Fisher (Ben), Jill Collins (Donnie); grandchildren, Bailey, Benjamin, Madison, Hanna, Lila and Lennon; sisters, Susan and Cinda. Memorial established with Shriners Hospitals for Children, International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.
