Joel M. Fromer, M.D.

Fromer, Joel Morton, husband, father, friend, doctor and 33 year resident of Wichita, lost his battle with cancer on November 5, 2014. Dr. Fromer was born in New York City. He attended Cornell and New York University and obtained his medical degree from the Free University of Brussels, Belguim. He pursued postgraduate training in pediatrics at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, then completed a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Since 1981, Dr. Fromer has been a partner at the Allergy and Asthma Center in Wichita. In addition to his wife, Deborah, whom he married in 1980, Dr. Fromer is survived by a brother, Howard Fromer of Albany, NY, sister, Roberta Jacobs of Spring Valley, NY, and extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and four-legged creatures. His spirit is carried on by daughter (Ilana) and son (Seth). A private memorial service will be held in New York City.
