Ethel S. Ackerman Burke

Ackerman Burke, Ethel S., 92, passed away Sunday morning April 5, 2015. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ethel was born October 8, 1922 in Elkhart, KS to John and Anna Sloan. She was twice blessed to share her life journey with husband George Ackerman and later after his death in 1990 to Norris Burke. She retired from Stockyards Bank now Emprise Bank after fifteen years. Ethel is survived by her sister, Martha Chrystie; son, Gary (Karla) Ackerman; daughter Vickie (Paul) Cargill; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer Crutcher, Kristy (Tim) Bidwill, Stacey Cargill; and 5 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 13, 2015, at Larksfield Place, 7373 E. 29th Street N, Wichita, KS 67226. Inurnment to follow at Kechi Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Kechi Methodist Church, 4533 E. 61st North Kechi, KS 67220. Downing Lahey East Mortuary.
