Donald John Dagenais

Donald John Dagenais, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from complications of the West Nile Virus. Rosary, 7 p.m., Monday, April 10; Funeral Mass, 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where Don was a charter member. Don served honorably in the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He worked for Boeing Aircraft Company for 18 years. Then as the Administrator, he developed the Aviation Education Center which later evolved into a program at NIAR that still uses many of his resources today. Preceded in death by parents, John and Lillian Dagenais, 2 sisters, and 1 great-grandchild. Survived by, Virginia (Eck), wife of 61 years; daughters, Debra Dawn Dagenais of Parker, CO, Desiree (Jim) Rau of Colwich, Karen (Matt) Blank of Augusta; sons, Greg (Vicki) Dagenais of Colwich, Duane Dagenais of Pawhuska, OK; sisters, Joyce Havill, Kate Boinski and Bev Leffler; brothers, John and Richard Dagenais; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
