Dear Susan and Family, The earth lost a good person when your mother passed. She and I had good times together at Holy Cross when our children were young. It may have been 1967 when we saw you in Hawaii. We had won the trip and were taking Damon and Derek to MacDonald’s to eat before Vic and I went out for an ‘adult’ meal while they slept in our hotel room. Doing things like that was more safe then than now. When I saw you behind the counter and told Vic I recognized you, he was sure it couldn’t be and got after me for often spotting someone whom I thought looked just like someone we knew. What a great happenstance for us that it was you! For you, too, I am sure. It was such fun to tell your dad and mom about it. They were really proud of you. We wish we had seen the notice in time to attend Faye’s funeral and been able to visit with you children. We didn’t know how best to make a contact and hope this reaches you. May God’s Peace and Joy and Love be restored and refreshed in each of you. Love, Sondra and Vic Schimming
