On behalf of Goodwill, our deepest sympathy to Barry’s family. Barry and I started at Goodwill about the same time. It was an honor to know and work with him. His laughter and great attitude were infectious.
Barry was a student of mine in my Social Studies classes at Mayberry Jr. High and such a friendly young man. He one day presented me with a gift of an abstract piece of art he had created in his art class. It was such a nice gesture and I liked the piece so much that I framed it and it hangs in my home to this day! When I would run into Barry at Dillon’s or somewhere else, he’d always have a greeting and a smile. I saw him many a time wheeling his way down 21st Street or Woodlawn going who knows where, but I admired him for his efforts to be as independent as he could. My sympathy to his family, friends and caregivers. Good memories indeed.
