Harold Gilbert Benoit

Harold Benoit, 97, passed away November 6, 2020. He was survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Melba, whom he married August 25, 1956. He is also survived by his 2 sons, Martin (Cheryl) and Stephen (Sally), 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Aurelia and Mary Lou. Harold was born in Demar, KS, on September 23, 1923 and lived in Western Kansas until the Start of WWII. He then joined the Marines serving in the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged on November 15. 1945 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Harold was a sales manager for H.J. Heinz company for 10 years working out of Wichita for the State of Kansas. After his time with Heinz, he became a sales manager for Mrs. Smith Pies where he oversaw 7 states, and retired after 20 years. Downing and Lahey - East Mortuary.
