Jeff Brockmeyer, 57, passed November 18th. After high school he served in the US Navy, and completed two west-pac tours. Upon departure of the Navy, he joined the IBEW, and was a union electrician and business owner. Jeff was a very loving and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jeff lit up every room he walked in, and was always the life of the party. His generosity, laugh, and smile were infectious to all he met. Jeff spread love, joy, and happiness to everyone he met, and was a friend to all. Jeff loved to travel, attend Chiefs games, concerts, and spend time with his family and friends. Fair winds and following seas sailor. “Boatswain… Standby to pipe the side… Shipmate’s going Ashore…” Thank you Jeffrey for your service to this nation. U.S. Navy.
My deepest condolences to Marla and the entire Brockmeyer family. I was a shipmate and friend of Jeff’s as we served aboard the USS Elliot together. Jeff and Marla were also my neighbors when we lived in San Diego, Ca. Those were Good Times! Jeff was funny and always full of life. He was someone that you could always depend upon to guide and support you. Fair Winds and Following Sea Shipmate! Until we meet again! DCC(SW) Matt Eckard (Ret.)(Charlotte, NC)
Jeff was my friend of many years. We shared a great many adventures and good times. He was a good friend, a good man, a man of good character. He is missed. I believe that he is alive and well in a better place. A thing to be celebrated, even during this time of loss. My heart goes out to Marla, their kids, his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Brockmeyer and their family during this time. 💔 They are good people whom I respect. Just as I respected Jeff. You have my most sincere condolences. May God hold you close during this time.
I’m sorry to hear about Jeff’s passing, I have known him since being a young kid from Bethany Lutheran Church, it was just three years ago, he did the electrical work for my garage, I have been meaning to touch base with him, I guess that will have wait now, R.I.P. my friend sees you when I see you!!! We know Jeff through his business. He’s been working on projects for us off and on for over a decade. I have many memories of Jeff. I can hear his voice and see his smile. I remember him digging in our yard with his Kubota excavator. I remember working together to find the leak when the geothermal line was hit. I remember a few years ago that he introduced his son Adam and you could sense his pride in working with his son. I remember Jeff talking about his daughter that was a teacher. Just over a month ago, he was out at our place and he talked about how well his children always got along. He also talked about how he loved spending time with his grandchildren. I knew he was at KU, but I was shocked to hear of his death. I cannot imagine how much his family and friends are reeling right now. The world lost a good one when he passed away. Our condolences, Eric and Ann Goering and family
My deepest condolences on your loss. I always enjoyed visiting with Jeff when I came to work on his sprinklers. Always had a friendly smile and a warm greeting for me, even last week when I was there when he wasn’t feeling well. You are all in my thoughts, and I hope that you can find some peace and comfort in the following days. Eric “Sparky” Stites Aquarius Greenbelt
Prayers for the family
Jeff and I attended the IBEW apprenticeship program together and worked together at A&H. His wit and laughter always made the days so enjoyable. His pure joy at Chris and Jenny’s 4th of July parties was infectious. Though we hadn’t seen each other in a few years, I considered him a good friend, and Vickie and I will miss him. Our sincerest condolences to Marla and family.
I’m so sorry for your devastating pain and loss. May your memories help sustain you and your family, Marla!
My memories of Jeff go back to the first time I met him. I couldn’t help but like him. I will always smile when I think of Jeff & my memories of working with him & sharing stories about our day to day events. Life was too short for Jeff but he left a great impact on many including me. God bless Jeff.
Marla and family, we were your neighbors in Bel Aire and have vivid and fond memories of Jeff and all of you. He was so helpful to me when I was living alone, never refusing to come over and offer electrical advice or whatever was needed. We know he will be deeply missed and we offer our sincere condolences. The Kellys, George and Ellen
