Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard "Bud" Hentzen; daughter, Kitty (Bill) Bircher; siblings, Kitty (Jack) Ditzler, Robert (Eleanor) Wilkes, Ralph (Therese) Wilkes. Survived by her children, Bernard (Stephanie) Hentzen, Bob (Elysia) Hentzen, Paul (Crystal) Hentzen, Patrick (Tammy) Hentzen, Mary (Mike) Engelbrecht, Joe (Leslie) Hentzen, Ann (Jeff) Hentzen-Page, Jean (Gary) Zoglman, Rita (Ben) Luukkonen; 37 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Memorials have been established with: Unbound, 1 Elmwood Ave, Kansas City, KS 66103; and St. Mary's Aleppo Altar Society, 25741 W 13th St N, Garden Plain, KS 67050. Our thoughts and prayers and virtual hugs are with you at this time. Aunt Joanne was an amazing beautiful sweet strong woman. She was my mom’s sister so she was extra special to me. I loved spending time with her. She always made me feel comfortable and at home. Heaven has another angel now. She is with her brothers and sister and parents. What a grand reunion that must have been. Wish we could be there with you all. We are thinking of you all and praying for you and hugging you all. Special love to my cousins and their families.
