Elizabeth Ann Garoutte,
86, passed away from COVID-19 on December 26, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Patricia Ann Drake and granddaughter, Rebecca Jo Bonnesen. She is survived by daughters, Vickie Glass, Sherry Fleming, Kathie Irons (Jim) and Geneva Land (Russell) and their families including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Liz was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on August 15, 1934. Liz enjoyed a long career in Las Vegas’ hospitality industry. How do I say goodbye to the person who gave me life? My words of gratitude would fill a library. I’m not ready to be without this beautiful woman. Her love of life and for her 5 daughters was as big as a mountain. We didn’t make it on that last road trip to Elk City before COVID-19 snatched you from us. My arms will forever hold you and protect you from further harm. You are safe now and with loved ones who passed before you. I know they were there to greet you and take away all fears, heartache and pain you may have felt. Hug your four legged babies again and your first born child Patty. They’ve missed you. Thank you Mother for all you did to prepare me to become a woman and live life to its fullest. This really isn’t goodbye because I plan to have many conversations with you.
