Our families have always been close, back three generations. Nancy always felt like #6 of the “Steffens Girls”, when we’d meet in Dighton to head to the cemetery, or to a “field trip” to Beeler, on our “girls trip” to Great Bend or the Flint HIlls or Costa Rica. We had lots of laughs and serious discussions about life and religion.
Rememberance —-We had talks in her car during noon hour at Beeler Highschool. —She also attended Alamota Grade School ( I didn’t) and lived along what we called the Alamota Road then than.—That was a long time ago. A friend Louella
Nancy was my aunt. I fondly remember many sleep overs with Nancy and Bill during my teen years. It was my favorite place to be, and I loved taco night. Nancy would fix my hair and was always easy to talk to. When her daughter Shanna came along I loved to babysit for them. Rest In Peace Nancy.
