Anne "Annie" Hildegaard Burke

With heavy hearts we share the loss of our dear Anne “Annie” Hildegaard Burke, 31, who died Friday, February 12, 2021. Annie attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School, Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School, and Kansas State University. She is survived by her parents, Michael and Collette Burke; sister, Mary "Katie" Burke; brother, Michael Burke, Jr., all of Wichita; and numerous other relatives and friends around the country. Everyone who met Annie recognized her beauty, intelligence and wit. She was a passionate animal lover. She was working on a volume of poetry at the time of her death. A celebration of Annie’s life will be held in the late spring. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
