Shirley J. Christendon

Shirley J. Christendon, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother journeyed home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at the age of 81. She was born in Pratt, Kansas, on August 22, 1939, to Ralph and Fern Christendon. As a licensed cosmetologist, she enjoyed her time working as a stylist in the salon and as an instructor in a cosmetology school. Her family and church were important to her. Even though her life was clouded by multiple health issues, including three bouts with cancer, her faith in Jesus Christ never wavered. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Diane Worm in 2012. She is survived by her brother, Ken Christendon (Arista) of Attica, KS; her daughters, Dedra Rogers and Becky Gossett both of Wichita, KS, and multiple grandsons and great- grandsons. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place at a later date. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
