Joan L. Catt
July 8, 1953 ~ April 10, 2021
Joan L. Catt, age 67, passed away last week after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Mary Frances Catt.
Starkey, Inc. has been Joan’s beloved home for over twenty years. She was employed in their Life Skills Unit and was very proud of her work abilities. She also loved participating in the Kansas Special Olympics in her younger years.
Joan will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin, niece and friend! Her stubborn, yet caring personality will be missed by all who have known and loved her. She is survived by her sisters, Susan (Lee) Haygood of Lakewood, CO and Jama (Mike) Carney of Lenexa, KS. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Susan and Jama, I am so sorry to hear Joan passed away. We can however rejoice that she is in perfect eternal peace.
My beautiful baby sister is now free. She was the bravest sister anyone could have. My favorite flash back was Joane and her pie tin. Joane was maybe 3 ish and not able to crawl so plan 2 was in place. Not sure who had the idea but the pie tin idea was genius! Grab the pie tin & Joane had wings to fly through the house. My sister Jama has been the pillar in Joane’s care. Daddy ask Jama “to take care of her” which she has done in a beautiful unselfish manner. My love for you Joane will be in my heart forever. Susan
