Thomas Ray Jackson

Thomas Ray Jackson, 77, passed away peacefully April 17, 2021. Tom was born January 24, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas to Wilber C. & Leona Lyshoj Jackson. He was a graduate of East High School, and after college he received his master’s degree from Wichita State University. He worked in the field of social work, serving the community. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur & Leona Jackson; his brother, Warren G. Jackson; his brother, William D. “Bill” Jackson; and his nephew, Stuart Lee Jackson. Tom is survived by beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. Tom was a devoted son to his parents and was always happy to debate the current events of the day. Those discussions were generally cordial, interesting, and fun. Even while in declining health, he was interested and engaged with what was going on in the world. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1806 N. Oliver Ave., Wichita, Kansas.
