Gene Hughes, 71, Owner of Unruh Automotive, died Saturday, June 26, 2021. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 1, 2021; Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, July 2, 2021, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Hughes; parents, Richard “Dick” and Helen Hughes. Survived by his son, Rick Hughes of Lakeport, CA; daughter, Brooke (Matthew) Cox of Andover, KS; grandchildren, Cooper Cox, Brecken Cox, Avery Cox, Opal Hughes; sisters, Jeanette Snyder, Kathryn Dupree; brother, Steven (Pat) Hughes; step-sister, Leasha Hughes.
