Jerry Allen Freihage, 61, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021. Visitation, 6:00 - 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 5; Funeral Service, 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, both at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Jerry was a beloved husband, father and friend. He had worked as an over the road truck driver and was most recently employed at Johnson Controls. He was a passionate Thunder Hockey and Force Football fan. Preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bud" Freihage. He is survived by his wife, Leigh; sons, Floyd "Jim" Freihage, Scott Freihage; stepson, Chris Prather; mother, Barbara DeVore; brothers, Randy (Myrna) Freihage and Rick (Theresa) Freihage; sister, Vicki Nickel, along with numerous other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675; Kansas Honor Flight, P.O. Box 2371, Hutchinson, KS 67504 and Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.
