Jess "Carl" Hesler, Jr., 86, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021. Celebration of Life, 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2021, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Carl was a loving and supportive father and grandfather. He retired from LearJet after working as an independent contractor for most of the aircraft companies over the course of his career. Preceded in death by parents; 1 sister and 1 brother. Survivors: daughters, Susan LaManna and Nancy Hesler-Fuchs; grandchildren, Charles, Samuel and Andrew Fuchs; great-grandson, Jameson Fuchs, all of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Heartspring, 8700 E. 29th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226 and Serenity Hospice Care, 3221 Toben St., Suite 200, Wichita, KS 67207.

He will always be Jess to us, mike grew up close to him in Cimarron. He and Mike talked on the phone at least once a month if not more in the recent years. They talked tractors, airplanes, and old times. We are going to miss the pone calls and visits from him. He was a great friend. We are unable to be there on Monday, but we will be thinking of him. Susan & Nancy, my condolences to you and your family. I had been friends with Carl since we worked together at Learjet in the ’90s. We enjoyed talking airplanes, engineering, politics, you name it. Carl was quite profound. A genuine man with a big heart. He will be missed. Mike Klemanovic
