Robert Eugene Moore, 92, Manager of Technical Publications at Cessna, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Masks are required. Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy L. Moore; parents, Henry and Elsie Moore; brother, Lawrence B. Moore; sister, Ardis Close. Survived by his son, Thomas E. Moore; daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" (Michael) Blackburn, both of Wichita; sister, Yvonne Hansen of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Tanya (Ahmed) Abdelaziz, Addie (Donald Ploetner) Blackburn; great-grandchildren, Hadi, Khaled. Bob was loved for his sociable thought, thoughtfulness, humor, love of travel, and sense of fun. A memorial has been established with: Sierra Club, Southwind Group c/o Yvonne Cather, 1920 S. Hillside St., Wichita, KS 67211.

I remember his interest in and fondness for birds, especially Loons.
Bob was a true gentleman! We will fondly remember Bob for his smile, dry humor and witty conversation. Bob will be missed in our neighborhood! Our sincere condolences to his family. Susan and Tom Tamplin
Cindi, Tom and families, I was sad to see your Dad and Grandfather had died. I didn’t see his obituary until several days after the visitation. Bob started his job at Cessna one month before we got married. As Bob’s 1st boss, your Dad was a huge positive influence. He was a great mentor and friend. Your parents were positive role models for both us. They were often busy helping someone, they gave so generously of themselves and their time. it was always fun to hear them tell about their family and their travel adventures. They took great care of us on the infamous back woods camping trip in the Colorado mountains! They will be missed by so many. Prayers and Sympathy, Rita Youngers
