Lawrence W. Tomes, 47, Aircraft Manufacturing Quality Manager, died Saturday, October 16, 2021. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Midian Shrine Center. Preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Bobbie Varnadore. Survived by his wife, Michelle Tomes; mother, Nancey Jantz of Wichita; daughter, McKayla (James) Rini of Wichita; sons, Travis (Laurel) Rupert of Broken Arrow, OK, Zachery Chamberlain of Wichita; brothers, James Tomes of Wichita, Gary (Valerie) Tomes of Bel Aire; sister, Jeannie Maurer of Orange County, CA; grandchildren, Mickenzie, Aiden, Wyatt, Anthony, and Asher Rini; brothers-in-law, Johnny (Cora) Varnadore of Salina, KS, Nathan (Kelly) Varnadore of Bennington, KS; sister-in-law, Amanda (Verdel, Jr.) Ratliff of Huntersville, NC. many nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with: American Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 299, West Orange, NJ 07052; Midian Plane of Mercy Fund c/o Midian Shrine Temple, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS 67202.
