Mary Anne Veesart, 89, Certified Nurse's Aide, and loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother, died Sunday, October 24, 2021. Mary enjoyed quilting, and most forms of crafting, antiquing, and dancing. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Washington City Cemetery, Washington, KS. Preceded in death by her husband, Alvin William Veesart; parents, Diedrich and Laura Meierhans. Survived by her sons, Michael (Heidi) Veesart of Douglass, KS, Alvin W. (Marsha) Veesart Jr. of Wichita, Lawrence "Larry" (Christine) Veesart of Wolfforth, TX, John (Pat) Veesart of Wichita; daughter, Karen (Tom) Ballard of Bonner Springs, KS; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, LeRoy Meierhans of LA, Chuck (Rosie) Meierhans of NE; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A memorial has been established with: Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

I have many fond memories of Mary Anne & your whole family. Being Grandma & Grandpa Rand’s next door neighbor enabled me to spend a lot of time with them & playing in their back yard.
