Robert E. "Bob" Zwiesler

Robert E. (Bob) Zwiesler, 84, Wichita, Kansas, passed away at home on December 20, 2021. He was born on September 11, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Robert C. and Eleanor (Otto) Zwiesler. Rosary at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wichita, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Wichita, at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2021. Burial immediately following at Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
Bob was in the U.S. Army Corps 1959-1963 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. He retired as a Production Control Manager at NCR in 1994 where he enjoyed playing Santa for many company Christmas parties. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert M. Zwiesler and siblings Timothy Zwiesler and Catherine Suebert. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie Mae (Margie) Bensman Zwiesler; children Mary Kay Stilwell; Karen (David) Duling; Carol (Mike) Morgan; and Sue (Tim) Walker all of Wichita; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, whom he adored; brothers, James (Sharon) Zwiesler of Dayton, Ohio; Peter Zwiesler of Greenville, Ohio; and John Scott Zwiesler of Orlando, Florida.
Memorials have been established with: ALS Association, 3450 North Rock Road, Suite 208, Wichita, Kansas 67226 and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 North Ridge Road, Wichita, Kansas 67205. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary West Chapel.
Margie and family, I am so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a wonderful man. I am sure all of you have many memories of him that you will hold in your heart. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
My prayers go out to Margie and my extended family in Kansas. Bob was more than a brother to me but a teacher of life who was always there for me. always remember” the greatest gift I ever had a gift from God his name was Dad”. Rest in peace brother.
