Dee Dee was much loved by those whose lives she blessed with music and sing-a-longs pre-covid. One of our dear friends always wanted to go to the local carehome on those days and do her “volunteer” work. Thank you for sharing her with us! May the memories that linger be those of joy and laughter.
Dee Dee and Will were our very first family friends in Wichita. Dee Dee was a stalwart, smiling, shining presence at First UU and in my life for virtually my entire life. Her gentle, quiet manner belied the fiercely strong, opinionated, thoughtful, ethical woman beneath it. Unlike most of us, Dee Dee knew exactly who she was and lived her life accordingly, nothing more, nothing less. When I think of “unconditional love,” there are very few people who come to mind. Dee Dee is at the top of the list. I am thinking of Will and the boys at this difficult time. Love, Annie Welsbacher
