Ann Hunter Rawlings, 82, Homemaker, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Preceded in death by her Husband, Lewis T. Rawlings, Jr.; parents, Thomas and Margaret Johnson. Survived by her daughters, Linda (Ron) Werak, Libby (Greg) Rawlings; son, Rob (Donya) Rawlings all of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Robert Hunter Rawlings, Bailey Thomas Rawlings, Amy Elizabeth Werak, Halee Murphy, Taylor Herrington; brothers, Tom Johnson, Steve Johnson. I serviced Ann’s lawn sprinklers for several years. I always enjoyed visiting with her, she always had a kind word and friendly smile. I’ll miss our conversations during my annual visits.

I have so many fond memories of Ann and the Rawlings family. I will always remember her wonderful laugh, hanging out in her driveway while she sunbathed, borrowing Tricia Belden and Nancy Drew books from the amazing collection downstairs, and evening chats with her when I would come home after summer jobs in high school and early college. She was part of giving me a magical childhood and I will always be grateful for that. My deepest condolences to the family. You are all in my prayers.
