Marcus Erle Schmidt

Marcus E. Schmidt, 75, dedicated and loving husband and father, retired Veterans Administration Prosthetics Chief, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Marcus served in the military and in 1967 received a severe gunshot wound to the head, earning him the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for his service. Preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Edith Schmidt. Survived by his wife, Jane Schmidt of Wichita, KS; sons, Peter L. Schmidt of Wichita, KS, Dwight (Irene) Brandt of Cresthill, IL; son, Eric (Jenny) Schmidt of Lamar, IN; four grandchildren. Private family services.
