James Robert Pond

James Robert Pond, 74, died Saturday, February 5, 2022. Jim was born June 26, 1947 in Chillicothe, MO. He graduated from Wichita South High School in 1965. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force with overseas assignments. Upon his return he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree while attending Wichita State University, graduating with honors. He will best be remembered for his thirty years of service at Butler Community College. While at Butler he served as Associate Dean and instructor. He leaves behind his loving wife Paula and two sons, Jason (Stephanie) and Justin (Sara). Three grandchildren will also miss their Papa. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, February, 9, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover, KS. A memorial has been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
