Carol Ann Blevins

Carol Ann Blevins, age 77, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 13, 2022 surrounded by family. Carol was born on February 4, 1945 in Vermillion, Kansas to William and Lois Stowell. Carol was genuine, with a heart full of love and care for everyone. Carol’s greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her family and treasured every moment with them. Carol was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2007, and while it may have taken her ability to remember and communicate, it never took away her beautiful smile. Carol is survived by her husband, Gary Blevins of 55 years; children: daughter, Gina Wiedemann and husband Todd, sons Gary Blevins II and wife, Debbie, Nathan Blevins and wife Erin, and; grandchildren Jordan Wiedemann, Bryce Wiedemann, Kennedy Lovings, Kassidy Blevins, Cooper Blevins, Brooks Blevins and Beu Blevins, great granddaughter Allison Lovings, and several brothers and sisters. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lois Stowell, son Carson Blevins, brothers, Melvin Stowell, Lyle Stowell and William Stowell and sisters, Nadine Frye, Irene Stowell, Kathy McIver, and Judy Whittington. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Downey & Lahey West Mortuary. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central and Western Kansas Chapter, 1860 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67214 in honor of Carol Blevins.
