Marjorie Lois Meyersick

Marjorie Lois Meyersick passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. She was born on February 23, 1924 to George and Martha Gerards in Kennewick, Washington. She grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school. After attending Oklahoma A&M for a year she moved with her family to Wichita and continued her college studies there. Accounting was her field and she worked for the city at the Wichita City building. After marrying Walter “Ossie” Meyersick, they lived in Kansas City, and Anaheim and Orange, California. When they returned to Wichita to be near family, they enjoyed playing golf with new friends at Willowbend. Marjorie loved volunteering at Gammon Elementary School and was awarded the Good Apple award for her work there. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ossie, and her brother, George. Survived by her brother, Waldo (Lotus) Gerards; nieces and nephews, Janis Edmondson, Hank (Susan) Gerards, Chuck (Reesa) Gerards, Steve (Sharon) Gerards, Sandra (Terry) Johnson, Kathy (Randy) Malcom, Karen (David) Harris, Donna (Marty) Hanna, David (Mary) Gerards. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Reformation Lutheran Church. A memorial has been established with Reformation Lutheran Church, 7601 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67206. Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
