On Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, Joyce Marie Eastburn, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, reunited with her creator at the age of 71. Joyce was born in Rugby, North Dakota on January 11, 1951. She married John Henry Eastburn on August 12, 1972, in Lake Metigoshe, North Dakota. In May of 1974 Joyce graduated from Minot State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. John and Joyce moved to Norman, Oklahoma briefly while John was finishing his Master's degree before settling in Wichita, Kansas. Joyce dedicated her life to being a wife and mother, yet was passionate about early childhood education. She held several volunteer positions with local organizations including the Girl Scouts and Great Plains Nature Center. She also enjoyed singing and participated in a cappella barbershop singing groups, such as Sweet Adelines and Melodears. Joyce was preceded in death by her father Daniel Richter, mother Dorothy Richter and husband John Eastburn. She is survived by children Robin and Jason, son-in-law Ronald Carballo, grandchildren Ryne, Arianna and Ava Carballo, sisters Jan Hager and Lori Paul, and brother Timothy Richter and several nieces and nephews. A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022. Both events will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N Roosevelt St, Wichita, Kansas, 67208
