Amee Marie Bohrer, 41, Journalist, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Amee was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a degree in journalism. Preceded in death by her mother, Cathie (Ross) Bohrer; sister, Julie Ann Bohrer; uncles, Ron Ross, Jim Ross. Survived by her father, John (Diane) Bohrer of Derby, KS; aunts, Judy Ross (Tony) Palmer of Des Moines, IA, Judy Ross of Wichita, KS; many nieces and nephews. Memorials have been established with: Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Altar Society; Midwest Transplant Network, 1035 N. Emporia Ave., Ste. 100, Wichita, KS 67214.

I met Amee Marie last fall. She was so full of energy. Her smile was absolutely contagious. We were going to go to lunch soon and i was looking forward to growing our friendship. I’m going to miss her. Amee Marie’s family – my heart hurts for your hearts.

I can’t believe the world lost such a beautiful person. I’ll always remember her as the fun energetic girl with a real laugh. We had lots of fun times together in our younger years. I’m sending prayers to her and her family.
