Doris Ann Willis Ann passed away on July 6, 2022 at home in Colorado. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Charles “Chuck” Willis and brother, James Edward “Ed” Brawley. She is survived by her son Michael Willis of Littleton, CO; her nieces Jennifer Reinke of Wichita, KS, and Julie Rodriguez of Wichita, KS; nephew Jim Brawley of Wellington, KS; and great nieces Lindsay Zimmerman of Harper, KS, Ashley Brawley of Kansas City, MO. Born September 7, 1935 in Carthage, Missouri to Clifford and Lois Brawley. Ann grew up on a farm near Springfield Missouri. Her family sold the farm and moved to Wichita around 1950. She graduated from Wichita East High School in 1954 and attended Wichita University for two years. Her first job out of high school was at Mid Kansas Federal Savings and Loan Association in Wichita where she worked for 17 years. In 1960 she married Chuck and they opened a Dairy Queen Brazier restaurant in 1973. After 25 years at the Dairy Queen she retired and went to work at West High in their lunch program where she worked for another 15 years. In 2019 she moved to Littleton Colorado to be closer to her son. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Asbury United Methodist Church. A memorial has been established with: Asbury Church, 2801 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203. Services in care of Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
