Wichita, Kansas - John Shields Sloan, 71, Retired United States Postal Service Clerk and Air Force Veteran, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022. A memorial service will be held sometime in December. Preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Flossie Sloan; step-mother, Luella. Survived by his wife, Suzanne Sloan; son, Cameron Sloan; daughter, Taryn Sloan; grandchildren, Alycia and Olivia Crain; all of Wichita; brother, Stephen (Carol) Sloan of Lawrence, KS; sister, Susan (Mike) McCarthy of Gordon, NE.

John was a friend of mine from high school, and a teammate on the wrestling team. It is hard to see such a sober looking photo of him as I will always remember John being such a fun loving person. So sad to see him gone so early.
