James Gaskins, 54, died Friday, July 29, 2022. Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Downing and Lahey West Mortuary. Preceded in death by his parents, Dannie Gaskins and Allison Tharp Pike. Survived by daughter, Xaveria Gaskins and granddaughter, Kiana Gaskins; son, Justin McDorman, wife, Amanda and granddaughter, Allison McDorman; stepfather, Robert Pike; grandmother, Jane Tharp; Aunt and Uncle Candace and Don Scheytt, all of Virginia; half siblings, Dana, David, Dannie and Dustie Gaskins of Texas; loving companion and partner Cheryl Daffron of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Kansas Food Bank.
