Carolyn Jean (Holcomb) Young, 68, passed away, August 26, 2022, with family and friends in attendance. She is survived by her husband, Doug Young; son, Joshua Young, both of Wichita; mother, Marjorie Holcomb Piersol; sister, Ruth Spollin both of Allen, TX; uncles, Gary Young of Port Angles, WA; Gregg (Mary Allen) Young of Ukiah, CA; niece, Morgan; numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Whitney Young; father, Carroll Holcomb; stepfather, Warren Piersol.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 9:00 am till 12:00 pm at Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

Carolyn worked in my classroom for a couple years. She was passionate about helping her students succeed; we often joked she was working harder than they were. I will remember Carolyn for her big smile, bright hair, perfect nails and sassy personality. She will be missed.
