Howard Wayne Alfrey, Sr., 91, Retired Dock Manager, died Monday, September 5, 2022. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, September 16, 2022; Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 17, 2022, both at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Geneva Alfrey; wife, Geraldine Anne Alfrey; sons, Mark Alfrey, Patrick Alfrey; grandchild, Amanda Parker. Survived by his daughters, Debra Longenecker, Janet (Stan) Mouser-Terwort, Susan (Scott) Alder, Ruth (Mike) Mallon; sons, Howard (Jackie) Alfrey Jr., Brian (Karen) Alfrey, David Alfrey, Gregory (Dani) Alfrey, Charles (Sara) Alfrey; daughter-in-law, Sandra Alfrey; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Phoenix Hospice, 3450 N. Rock Rd., Bldg. 200, Ste. 213, Wichita, KS 67226.
