Diann Dean Sturgeon, 78, retired Accountant/Clerk, died Saturday, October 15, 2022. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Lunch will be provided by Jeri Switzer after the service. Location will be announced at the service. Preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Tressie Schuler. Survived by daughters, Monique Sturgeon and Melissa Sturgeon; son, Todd Radovich; brother, Ernie Schuler; sisters, Beverly Giammasi, Linda Girard, Jeri Switzer, Brenda Bogard; and grandchildren, Victoria Radovich, Kyle Radovich, Miles Radovich, Zachary Radovich, and Timothy Holmes; and five great grandchildren. Diann enjoyed the simple things in life especially spending time with her family and friends. It may have been over a good cup of coffee or playing poker, board games, bingo, or bowling. She loved her time in the garden as much as she enjoyed her time in the casino. Her love of gardening was passed on to all her children. She took pleasure in aquariums which she shared with her daughter, Monique. She spent several years Two Stepping and Line Dancing at “The Rodeo” with her sisters and friends. During her time at Medicalodge she was known as “the hat lady” and often gave advice to the director on how to better run the facility. All her children inherited her sarcastic sense of humor. She will be missed and always remembered.

Guestbook

  1. Even though we have lost contact with the legendary Schuler cousins, Diann and her sisters and brother have remained always in our thoughts and are always included in our holiday gathering family reminiscences. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to reconnect.

  2. I am saddened to hear that Diann is gone. Though I have lost touch with the family, I was happy that I had the chance to meet my birth mother back in 2000.
