Suzanne Coker

suzanne coker
Suzanne Coker, 67, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 after a short, but well fought battle with Stage 3 pancreatic cancer. She is preceded in death by her brother, David Jr. (1986), her mother, Esther (2008), and her father, David Neighbors (2020.) She lived a very fulfilling life, she enjoyed spending summers in her childhood with her grandmother who raised horses. As she grew into adulthood, she decided to go to college and obtained a Bachelors in Science degree and became a Medical Technologist. She worked as a Medical Technologist for many years through a few different clinics and hospitals. Suzanne gave birth to three children in her younger years, Jason (1975), Abby (1986), and Gabriel (1992). She spent her time outside of work enjoying watching her children play sports and taking care of them. She took many years off of work when her mother had a brain aneurysm and took the time her mother needed to give her the care she deserved showing her nothing but unending love and support as a daughter. She was an amazing mother, but an incredible grandmother to her 6 grandchildren,Brock, Emma, Emily, Isaac, Madison, and Aurora. She also has another grandchild on the way. She spent many days playing with her grandchildren after she retired, or helping get them to and from their many activities. She was also very active in her church and involved with her faith until her body started to fail her and forced her to slow down. She is survived in death by her husband, Daniel, her brother, Jeff Neighbors, her son, Jason Scates and his wife Sarah and their children Brock, and Emma. Her daughter, Abby (Coker) Morgan and her husband Brandon, and their children Emily, Isaac, Madison, and Aurora. Her youngest son Gabriel Coker and his girlfriend Guadalupe Lujano and their unborn child. She was such a large portion of all of our lives, such a loving, caring and fierce wife and mother, and the best Grandmother. She has made her final transition home to her creator and is no longer in pain, and we can't ask for more than that. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.Rosary will be 4:30 pm, Sunday, October 30, 2022, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, October 31, 2022, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
