Marlene Phillips, 89, died Sunday, November 20, 2022. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by her husband, Lee E. Phillips, III; sister, Joan Lewis; nephew, Walter Innes "Flip" Phillips, Jr.; parents, Joseph and Esta Mohr. Survived by her sons, Scott (Anne Yard) Phillips of St. Louis, MO, Jamey (Anne Parr) Phillips of Portland, OR; granddaughter, Claire Phillips; sister, Nancy (John) Wiest of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Janet Lewis of Santa Rosa, CA, Julie Phillips of Overland Park, KS; sister-in-law, Karen Phillips of Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Wichita Children's Home, 7271 E. 37th St. N., Wichita, KS 67226.

We met Marlene and Lee in Palm Desert many years ago when they lived near our family. In Wichita I looked forward to seeing her in the hair salon. She always asked about my famiy and was a beatiful lady inside and out! She will be missed.

Marlene was always gracious and kind to us as children. Her beautiful smile was warm and inviting – and I loved her sense of humor.
