Kristine “Kris” (Kennedy) Ibarra, 72, was reunited with her husband, Lou, Thursday, January 26, 2023. Preceded in death by husband, José Luis “Lou” Ibarra, Jr.; her parents, Lawrence and Kathleen Kennedy. Survived by her son, Matt (Ashley) Ibarra; grandchild, Lauren Ibarra; brother, Mike (Debbie) Kennedy. A Celebration of Life will be held at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 pm. A memorial has been established with: KyMel, Inc., P.O. A beautiful picture of a beautiful lady! Kris and Lou were two of the first people we met when we moved into Estancia almost 5 years ago. I had the opportunity to collaborate with her on many social committee activities. I even accidentally somehow gave her the name “Simone” in a silly autocorrect. Kris and Lou will both be greatly missed. Rest in peace and we will meet again. – Connie Belden
I met Kris when we were Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters @WSU in the early 70’s. She and I and a couple of our friends took some camping trips together in Colorado and I have such fun memories of those trips. Also, I bowled with her mother Kathleen and Kris during that time. She was a great friend and had such a great sense of humor!! I can’t believe she and Luis are both gone! My deepest sympathies to Matt and his family.
