Mary Louise (Bradshaw) Sanders

Mary Louise (Bradshaw) Sanders, age 85, died on Friday, February 24, 2023 in her home in Wichita, Kansas. From her birth on February 16, 1938 in Watertown, New York, to her death on Friday she nourished people around her with love, faith, and humor.She was the only child born to Louise M. Terrillion and Paul B. Bradshaw whom preceded her in death in 1996 and 1966, respectively.Mary began her walk with the Lord as a small child attending Sunday school. After graduating from Watertown high school, she attended one semester of nursing training and worked for an insurance company where she was promoted several times. She attended the University of Alabama where she studied psychology and San Jacinto College where she studied interior design.Mary married the love of her life, John Dale Sanders on June 30, 1972 in Huntsville, Alabama.They traveled to numerous places throughout their years together and raised two children.Mary was a prayer warrior and never stopped seeking the Lord. She counseled many people, always giving wise and helpful advice. She had a deep love for animals and their welfare. She was artistic and musically inclined.Left to honor Mary and remember her love is her beloved husband, John; her two children, Kathryn Louise (Gene) Ake, Donald Bradshaw Gaffney; and five grandchildren, Sean Patrick Ake, Alexander Daniel Ake, Christopher Bradshaw (Katie) Gaffney, Emily Louise Ake, and Caitlyn Mary Gaffney.Mary will be remembered as a bright, shining light for the Lord with a quick wit and intelligent mind.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
