Sean O'Grady

Sean O’Grady, 60, passed away March 10, 2023. Sean was a graduate of Wichita Southeast High School and the University of Kansas. After college, Sean built a 29-year career at the Hillcrest Apartments where he was admired by his coworkers and residents for his willingness to always help anyone that needed a hand. Sean’s artistic spirit and talents - which were expressed in both his painting and in his writing - were his gifts to the world. His kind soul, inquisitive mind, and gentle heart touched everyone that knew him. Private services will be held.

Sean was a friend of mine when I lived at The Hillcrest in the late 90’s. He was very kind and enjoyable to visit with. He had a creative mind and was quite the artist. My sympathy to his extended family.
I knew Sean since the 6th grade at Price. We played games everyday after school all through middle school at Coleman. After we graduated from Southeast high school, he was my Best Man at my wedding in 1981. We remained close via email and we would get together every time I returned to Wichita. I will miss his automotive questions, his genealogy stories of relatives he found, and all the games we would play together. Sending condolences to his friends and family. Gone too soon!! RIP
I just found out that Sean died. He was a friend of mine from college, a kind and intelligent person with a wide range of interests. Everybody who knew him will miss him.
