William Victor Wright, 93, died Monday, July 10, 2023. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Wright; granddaughter, Amy Borchers; second wife, Wanda Tittsworth-Wright; parents, William C and Georgie Wright; and two sisters. Survived by his son, William “Bill” Victor Wright II (Susie) of Overland Park, KS; daughters, Cathee (Gary) Trumpp of Highlands Ranch, CO and Denise (Gary) Green of Maize, KS; two sisters; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Victor was born in Quincy, KS in 1930. He worked as an insurance agent and manager, retiring from State Farm after 45 years. Victor was an example of hard work ethics. A good son, brother, devoted husband, wonderful father, Christian man of morals and integrity, and Korean war HERO (Air Force). He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church and the Double Ring Sunday School class. He truly cared for people and would do all he could do to help others. He worked hard and played harder - loving Table Rock Lake for boating, fishing, and skiing (even in his late years), and leaving a legacy of a beautiful lake home for his children to enjoy and make family memories of their own. Though Alzheimer’s took away his memory over time, up until just a few months ago he would still tell his loved ones that ‘I’ve had a blessed life’. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, July 21 and Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 22, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. A memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E. Rockhill, Suite 403, Wichita, KS 67206.
