Elizabeth "Liz" Meister, 68, former human resource manager, died Friday, July 21, 2023. Rosary will be at 10:00 am, Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Elizabeth thought family was beyond classifications and blood relations. She saw everyone as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Francisco Vargas, Jr.; husband, Dennis Lee Meister. Survived by her mother, Guadalupe Marie Vargas; daughters, Susan (Maurice) Byrd, Christina Mehle; son, Zachary Mehle; 20 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 stepchildren; and 7 Siblings. In lieu of flowers, a donation to KETCH, 1006 E. Waterman Street, Wichita, KS 67211 or St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3642 N. Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67205, in Elizabeth’s name would be appreciated. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
