James P. Kelley, Jr.

James P. Kelley, Jr., 99, a World War II veteran, and retired owner of Kelley & Dawson Service, a heating and air conditioning contractor for 36 years, died Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born September 25, 1923 in Boonton, NJ. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, after 63 years of marriage; and his son, James Kelley, III. He is survived by his three grandchildren, Peter Kelley, Margo Kelley, Christina Kelley. Mr. Kelley was active in the world of dogs, having been a judge, breeder, and exhibitor of Irish terriers since 1948. Memorials have been established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N.
