Douglas Farney, 57, died Sunday, August 27, 2023. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Westlink Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his father, Larry Joe Farney. Survived by his mother, Jacqueline M. Farney; brothers, Craig A. (Corie) Farney, Todd V. (Laura) Farney, Monty J. (Wendy) Farney, Scott A. (Erynne) Farney; sister, Sharyl C. Evans; 9 nephews; 8 nieces; 1 great-nephew. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Douglas Farney, c/o Bank of America, 8304 West Central Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67212. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

I met Doug while working at KETCH. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He was always sweet, kind and just went with the flow. His smile will be missed there.
