It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Judith Ann Swisher, a graceful presence in the heart of Wichita, Kansas. At the age of 82, Judith, a retired Aerospace Lead Dispatcher, peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones.Funeral Services will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 9, 2023, commencing at 10:00 am. The gathering will take place at the Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, where we will celebrate her enduring spirit. Following these services, we shall bid our final adieu at Danville Cemetery, Danville, KS, with the Graveside Service beginning at 1:00 pm.In reflection of her life's journey, Judith is preceded in death by her cherished parents, William James and Maxine McAdams, as well as her beloved brother, Richard McAdams. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever echo in our hearts.Judith is survived by her loving son, Randall "Randy" Swisher, and his devoted wife, Tara, both of Wichita. Her memory lives on through her adoring grandchildren, Jael and Samantha Wilde of Wichita, Jena and Nicholas Reyes of Andover, and Joseph Swisher of Wichita. Her legacy extends to two great-grandchildren, the radiant Apollo Reyes, and another blessed soul, soon to join this world. She is also survived by her dear sister, Nancy Szabo, and her nieces and nephew, Angela, Brent, and Amy. In addition, her cousin, Larry (Bonnie) Dent, holds fond memories of their shared experiences.In honor of Judith's unwavering faith, a memorial has been thoughtfully established with Holy Savior Catholic Church, located at 3000 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67214. Contributions in her memory will serve as a testament to her devotion to her faith and community.Let us come together to celebrate the life of Judith Ann Swisher, a remarkable soul whose light continues to shine in our hearts.

  1. My dear neighbor of 26 years. So many laughs together by the back fence. Always so proud of her talented Randy to play music. Shared picture of her beloved granddaughter, Jena and great grandson. She enjoyed life traveling in cruises and shared sooo many good trip memories with me. Always told her, go ahead, travel and I’ll watch your home. I even run away the KG&E guy from her back yard while reading the meter. Then we laughed about it.

  2. I met Judy through her sister, Nancy. Always admired her strength. She was independent & able to hold her own.
