Jon Wilson Alberts, 62, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 11, 2023. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Ruby Alberts; brother, David Alberts; nephew, Vaughn Plumer. Survived by his brother, Joel (Susan) Alberts of Edmond, OK; sister, Joni (Ryne Hobbs) Alberts-Plumer of Brookville, KS; brother, Paul (Joan) Alberts of Brookfield, MO; nephews, Adam, Eric, Michael, Daniel, Samuel, Amos, Jeremiah, Micah, and Caleb Alberts; nieces, Tovah Plumer, Ruth Alberts, Sarah Alberts. The family would like to thank his Starkey family, The ARC (now abilitypoint) and The Religious Nurture Center at First United Methodist Church. Memorials have been established with: Religious Nurture Center c/o First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67202; and Starkey, Inc., 4500 W. Maple St., Wichita, KS 67209. My name is Bruce Cole and I was one of many teachers working with John when he was in the school division at Starkey. I remember John very well because he always seemed to have a good attitude. He seemed happy and it was obvious that he had been loved his entire life. God bless the family at this time. I feel fortunate that we teachers got to know him back in those days.
