Luella M. (Boor) Linnebur, 90, of Colwich, KS, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend died Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Luella was born August 22, 1933, in Hays, KS to the late Hilary and Theresa (Mannebach) Boor. She married Wayne Linnebur on September 26th, 1953, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich, KS. They were married for 65 years.
Luella was an active member in the altar society and loved her faith. She was a consistent attendee of daily Mass and often led the rosary before Mass. She and Wayne were huge advocates for Pro-Life and she also spent many years as a volunteer for Birthline.
As a homemaker, she was an active member of EHU and enjoyed photography, sewing, golfing, floral design, travel and special days with each grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Linnebur; son, Fr. David Linnebur; parents, Hilary and Theresa (Mannebach) Boor; brothers, Harold Boor, Marvin Boor; sisters-in-law, Leona Boor, Sister Mary Ruth (Dorothy) Linnebur, Helen (Johnny) Youngers, Mary Youngers; brothers-in-law, Jerry Hickert, Donald (Birdella) Linnebur, Mike (Juanita) Mohr. Survived by her children, Danny (Dana) Linnebur of Colwich, Rebecca (Tim) Silke of Omaha, NE, Kent (Lori) Linnebur of Wichita, KS, Rod (Lois) Linnebur of Wichita, Lynda (Raphael) Hermes of Goddard, KS; siblings, Marcella Hickert of Hays, KS, Majella (Fred) Hickert of Hays, KS, Norma Jean (Jerry) Patterson of Wakefield, KS, Leon (Mary Jo) Boor of Abilene, KS, Norman Youngers of Kingman, KS; thirty grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren with two on the way; fourteen precious babies who have gone before us. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Birthline, 339 North Seneca Street, Wichita, KS 67203, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S Market, Wichita, KS 67202, Priest Retirement & Education Fund, 424 North Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202.
Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 5, 2023. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Friday, October 6, 2023, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colwich, KS.
