Harry James Klein, 76, retired aircraft manufacture director, died Friday, October 27, 2023. Rosary will be at 9:30 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 4, 2023, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary.
Jim enjoyed woodworking, fishing with his brothers, spending time on his porch swing, working outside, barbecuing with his family, cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and gambling at the casino. He was a connoisseur of tea and martinis and was famous among family and friends for his salsa recipe.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Mariam Klein; brothers, Dale Klein, Norman Klein, Kenneth Klein; sisters, Doris Schimmel, Judy Simpson. Survived by his wife, Alberta Klein; daughters, Kimberly (Steve) Holbrook, Karrie (Shane) Elliott; son, Darin (Christie) Klein; brothers, Dr. Herbert Klein, Michael Klein; sister, Karen Palenscar; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with: Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.

Harry, “Jim” as we knew him was a good and decent man, a loving husband and father, and a kind, caring and loving soul that will be dearly missed, and lovingly remembered. He was a wonderful brother-in-law and friend. Goodnight, and Godspeed Jim, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us, and me, and the wonderful, wonderful memories from long ago. Unforgettable. Your physical issues are no more and you are now eternally reunited with your parents, siblings and other family, friends and loved ones gone before. Again, unforgettable.
