Robert Walter "Bob" Grelinger

Robert (Bob) Walter Grelinger, 85, entered into eternal life on Sunday, November 5, 2023 while being surrounded by the love of his family. Born December 12th, 1937 to Anthony and Sophia Grelinger in Beloit, KS as one of seven children, Bob was a dedicated and loyal family man who worked as a planner at Beechcraft while also establishing and running Windy Knoll Tree Farm alongside his lifelong partner and love of his life, Susan Grelinger. They were married on November 23rd, 1963 sharing almost sixty years together of love and devotion. They were blessed through Catholic Social Service to adopt their two children, Ryan and Trista. Bob's adoration of his children was unfaltering as he helped them in 4-H events showing Angus Cattle and was proud to have them grow in their faith through their schooling within the Wichita Catholic Diocese. Bob enjoyed watching his family grow when Ryan married Amy (McCune) and Trista married Todd Gish. His favorite job title was 'Papa' to Sydney and Addison Gish, Zachary and Joshua Grelinger. His ornery, dry sense of humor only grew as he loved to tease his grandkids, but his unconditional love and support to his family was insurmountable. His Catholic faith was paramount in his life shown by his generous spirit and kindness. As a 4th degree Knight, he volunteered within the church and helped those who were in need. For a man who said he would never own a dog, his true spirit of stubbornness was also shown by his love to his dog, Bella. Bob is home with Jesus now and we are blessed to have known him. Bob is survived by his wife, Susan (McCarty) Grelinger and is two children: Son, Ryan and his wife, Amy (McCune) Grelinger (Derby, KS) and their two boys, PFC Zachary (Augusta, GA)and Joshua Grelinger (Derby, KS); Daughter Trista (Grelinger) Gish (Lawrence, KS) and former son-in-law, Todd Gish (Valley Falls, KS) and her two daughters, Sydney (Lawrence , KS) and Addison Gish (Lawrence, KS); Brother, Norbert Grelinger (Beloit, KS).Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Sophia Grelinger (Beloit, KS); John Grelinger (Phoenix, AZ); Paul Grelinger (Kansas City, KS); Don Grelinger (Beloit, KS); Margaret (Grelinger) Keeler (Oak Island, NC) Larry Grelinger (Beloit, KS).Rosary will be at 7:30 pm, Sunday, November 12, 2023; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, November 13, 2023, both at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover.All donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 123 N.
